$4.00

Broccoli ‘Di Ciccero’ is a delightful variety of the popular cruciferous vegetable, scientifically known as Brassica oleracea var. italica. This plant type, known for its compact and flavorful florets, is a cool-season annual that thrives in a sunny position in the garden.

Broccoli ‘Di Ciccero’ prefers well-drained soil that is fertile, rich in organic matter, and slightly acidic. When it comes to spacing, it is recommended to plant the seedlings approximately 45 to 60 centimetres apart, allowing enough space for the plants to develop their large heads.

The first harvest of broccoli can typically be done approximately 70 to 90 days after planting, depending on the desired head size. To ensure a plentiful supply, successive plantings every few weeks can be done. When considering the quantity to plant, it is advisable to aim for around 2 to 3 broccoli plants per square meter. With its tender florets and nutritional value, Broccoli ‘Di Ciccero’ is a versatile vegetable that can be steamed, stir-fried, roasted, or added to various dishes.
