About Us
Welcome to New Leaf Horticulture Enterprise

Meet Steph
Owner
Hello there : )
I believe in the fundamental right of free access to clean water, air and energy for all that share this beautiful and amazing planet. Combining my passion for supporting strongly connected and resilient communities with my fascination of the natural world (in particular, the plant world), has led me to develop the service that I offer to my local community.
I am a qualified horticulturist with over 20 years of experience across the diverse horticulture industry. I also have been a horticulture educator for the past 10 years. I am grateful to be able to live out my core beliefs and passions as my work and find it very rewarding to work alongside others who are passionate about growing food for themselves and their community.

Meet Talia
I am passionate about creating garden scopes that are not only functional, low maintenance and productive, but also support pollinating insects and birds that live a symbiotic relationship within the gardens we create. I like the idea of incorporating medicinal herbs, hardy low maintenance perennial plants, native edibles and beautiful flowers. I believe that in doing so we step away from monoculture growing ways and create a more beautiful and natural style of garden that supports both our mind and bodies, and the earth at the same time as nature intended. I love working for New Leaf at the local markets to connect with people from the community. Engaging in wholesome conversations with people within the community and exchanging gardening knowledge feels important. I love that New Leaf provides healthy organic seedlings, contributing and encouraging people to become more self-sufficient. Come and say hi at the Markets.

Meet Barb
Hi, my name is Barb and I have worked in Conservation Land Management for 10+ years and Steph just recently. I love Stephs concept of being self sufficient in growing your own beautiful organic veggies, herbs and flowers in a sustainable, plastic free environment. This has inspired me to create my own little veggie patch. Stephs passion and knowledge is contagious as you will find when you visit her stalls at both Pomona and Yandina markets.

Friends in the Garden
You will find many regular helpers in our gardens. Giving a helping hand to whatever seasonal activities need to be done. It’s a great time for a chat and a casual discussion on those burning produce-growing topics. Seasonal veggies and seedlings to take home at the end of the session are a welcome bonus.
As part of our ongoing commitment to inspire and empower others grow their own healthy food we host an opportunity to visit our gardens and join in the seasonal activities taking place, alongside Steph, our senior Horticulturist. This is a time when you can be involved in hands on learning and ask questions while being involved in activities such as soil improvement, seasonal planting, crop planning, organic control of pests and diseases, pruning and propagation and much more.
Please wear closed in shoes or boots and provide your own sun protection and drinking water.

Noosa Barter Tribe
As part of our commitment to building a sustainable future and supporting a resilient community, we like to participate in cashless forms of energy exchange.
The Noosa Barter Tribe is a local group based in Pomona. They meet each Sunday morning to exchange goods. Find them on Facebook. We join in with their activities by offering an exchange of $30 worth of seedlings for 1 hour work in the garden.
